At Hummingbird Learning, we offer personalised literacy tutoring, educational assessments, and practical support for parents. Our experienced teachers tailor sessions to each child’s needs, with a strong focus on reading, writing, phonics, and comprehension. We use a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach to support children with learning difficulties, ASD, and diverse needs. Based in Mudgee, we offer face-to-face or flexible online sessions via Zoom and are proud members of the Australian Tutoring Association.
​Our literacy tutoring sessions are designed to build confidence and competence in reading, writing, phonics, and comprehension. We provide one-on-one support tailored to each child’s learning level and goals. Using evidence-based strategies and engaging, age-appropriate materials, we help students strengthen their foundational literacy skills while nurturing a love for learning.
We offer educational assessments in literacy to understand your child’s strengths and learning needs. Conducted by qualified teachers and aligned with the Australian curriculum, assessments cover reading, comprehension, spelling, and writing. A detailed report with tailored recommendations can also be provided to support learning at school and home.
We provide parents with practical resources and personalised support to help them confidently guide their child’s learning. Informed and supported parents play a vital role in their child’s educational success. Through home literacy strategies, activity packs, consultations, and regular updates, we work closely with families to create consistency between tutoring and home.
